Round Raku Teacup

Larger piece of a teacup couple or meoto yunomi, my tribute to the idea of married ceramic pieces. Yunomi cups are a Japanese tradition, they are made for daily or informal tea drinking.

There are special pairs of yunomi called meoto yunomi. These couples consist of two cups with the same pattern but slightly different sizes and slightly different shapes. A popular wedding gift.
